Membership Admission Committee

The fifteen members of the admissions committee for members of the École française de Rome (EFR), including the three directors of studies, are appointed by the director for three years, on the advice of the president of the Scientific Council.
Following the meeting of the EFR Scientific Council on 23 November 2017, the composition of this committee for recruitment for the years 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 is as follows:

Antiquity

  • Cinzia Vismara, professor at the University of Cassino (for the recruitment for the year 2020-2021, replacing Jean-Pierre Brun, who is unable to take up the position)
  • Thibaud Lanfranchi, lecturer at the University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès
  • Nicolas Laubry, Director of Studies for Antiquity at the École française de Rome
  • Catherine Saliou, professor at the University of Paris 8
  • Stéphane Verger, director of studies at EPHE

Middle Ages

  • Benoît Grévin, research director at CNRS - LAMOP
  • Giuliano Milani, professor at the University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée
